when i was just elven years of age i began to listen to the music of the beatles
the 1964 the music of the byrds fallowed the beatles when their sound went

folk back in early 1965/1966 the flower power art & music secene was just
being born. but i didnt know about folk rock until i tiurned 14 years of age.

thats when i was in the middle of the whole summer of love 1966/67 that
was my awakeing of things of change with boys my age wanting to grow

our hair long like the stones & jefferson airplane in those eary days of the

haight ashbury in sanfransico with its be ins love ins free concets in

gold gate park and some of the hells angel would hang out and party

with some the hippies because the angeles where hired to do secerity.
for the free concerts. but la had its own hippie scene on the streets

of the sunset strip. the byrds and the mamas & the popas buffalo spring
field started the socal folk rock move met from 1964/1966.

Ha ha, brill. I love their inability to remember anything.

I’ve not seen the DVD version of the anthology just a battered old video taped off the telly when it was first shown. Much watched and worn away almost!

Hi. Yes the “Tomorrow Never Knows” playback scene is on the Bonus DVD of the 2003 Box set…essential viewing for the Beatle fan…also great is a scene where they listen to a playback of “Golden Slumbers” and George H. goes “What album was that on?

I think large elements of Revolver would have been hard to play live, in truth, though I agree that the choices of tracks form this set list are curious – I suspect an element of lethargy?

Great photo from Japan by the way. Also I dont recall the playback of TNK in the Anthology – maybe it is on the DVDs but not the TV broadcast versions…?

After reading some articles recently, they first rehearsed in Los Angeles, then near Hamilton Ontario where the first show was played. The second show was in Toronto which is very close to Hamilton.
